I really enjoy woven blouses with boxy cuts, so waist surrendering in a way that makes it obvious the top is much bigger than the person inside. I'm not sure I expressed that clearly! As long as there's no waist line, and the blouse just flows from my shoulders, I think it's flattering. And certainly more forgiving! Since we have similar body types you might want to try that too. My very&nbsp;favourites tend to be silk/cotton blends because they have a magic combination of drape &amp; crispness, but I have ones in plain cotton and plain silk that work too. They're especially nice in hot weather. Some days I get the feeling I'm "on" all the time. I only wear hats to shield from the elements when needed but not just as a fashion accessory as I feel too self conscious. The oldest of these photos is from August, that’s why my hair is short-long-short. </p> <p>First photo is for looking pretty on the wall (Fidji’s Amor). Second photo is for body type assessment. I think I’m an IT with hourglass tendencies, please let me know if you see something different.</p> <p>I’m calling my style girly tomboy, but have no idea if it fits (aspiring to expand to urban minimalist and like the looks of Euro chic). I’m posting one set of each type of outfit: dresses, shorts, skinnies, slacks (I left the boot cuts and going-out outfits out as I think this number of me-me-me photos is excessive already). I’m self-employed, don’t see many people on a day-to-day basis, and have total freedom in what I can wear, but I aim to dress up to the level of my more conservative customers (business casual).</p> <p>My current style goals are to loosen up my preferred body-con look (hard to do) and reduce the number of skinnies in my closet. Currently looking for boot cut slacks within my so-called-budget :)&nbsp; Also looking for fluid knit and drapey tops that don’t swallow me up. I, like Suz mentioned, found out that I reach for my woven shirts (I LOVE button-down shirts in all fabrications) in warmer months, and when fall-winter comes, all I want cozy knits.
