They feel like jeans, you know stiff but I can sit and squat and stuff without feeling like they are too tight anywhere but they aren't as comfy as like a a pair of lounge pants haha. I think I will keep them because if I keep waiting for the absolute perfect fit I don't think i'm going to find any if I'm honest I think they are the right size for most parts of my body but I'm just quite tall so I'm never going to get one that goes completely up to my natural waist unless I also get ones that are meant to be like drop crotch, like my culottes. They do look a bit snug. BUT...wear them for a few hours in the house. Sit down, stand, walk, move about. I know there is some stretch built in, but jeans do differ in this regard, no matter what. i have several pairs with fits like this right out of the wash that end up working brilliantly with a half hour's wear and a larger size would be/ feel too large.
