I think an appley inverted triangle sounds right. We had a really difficult time finding tops in the regular sizes for her. But when we moved up to plus sizing (or Women's sizing) the rest of the proportions were all wrong. I think she needs a petite women's sizing in her tops. Or maybe an hourglass that tends toward an inverted triangle. That might be it, because I know my mom is an inverted triangle that has some hourglass tendencies, and when she gains weight, she mainly gains it on her chest, upper back, and arms, and then some around her middle. It looks like maybe your sister gains it the same way? But now I'm thinking she's an hourglass. Keep in mind, that she's barely 5 feet tall, and she had a sudden weight gain. When she was thinner, she was definitely NOT an apple.
