Indeed, I have talked about my shopping journey on YLF over the years. It's nice to have found a solution and to help others. And I agree, it is AMAZING how many outfit combinations a person can create, even with a small sized wardrobe, IF the items have been purchased with intent and the desire to remix. I have a smaller wardrobe than I used to in the very beginning years on YLF and FAR more outfit combinations today because everything I add now is the right choice for me. It's sounds like you've also achieved a happy place. *high five* :) Rock - I'm delighted that the OOTD posts are helpful! It's been a lot of work to get my wardrobe to this place, but I'm delighted by the final results.  Angie - Indeed it has been a lot of work to get my wardrobe in a good place, but I'm delighted with the end results, and it shows with my daily outfits and my overall happiness with my wardrobe. Even though my wardrobe is generally more formal, the style principles you embrace are universal and I learn from your posts.  Further, I aspire to build a well-functioning casual wardrobe at some point in the future, so I thoroughly appreciate that you are the master. How wonderful and congratulations on your success in working through this addiction and then going on to help others with this same problem. I know I've struggled with shopping way too much as well. I wasn't very disciplined in the past and if I found something I really liked and it fit me well, it would usually come home with me. There was no forethought or planning. It was mostly impulse buying. I ended up with plenty of clothes that didn't really work together and actually didn't suit my real lifestyle either. I was a fantasy life shopper. I eventually got real with myself and then I devoured everything on fashion overconsumption, unfair labour practices and its environmental impact and I suddenly didn't feel so compelled to shop as much. I now shop much more responsibly and with a proper plan for my wardrobe and I'm mostly shopping my own closet. It's amazing all the outfit combinations I can come up with using the clothes I already have. I had long blonde hair for many years until I got tired of the hair dye irritating my scalp, along with the cost and constant salon visits. It was a lot of work to maintain.  <div>My wardrobe size is larger than back in 2017. It also has more color and variety. And it has a higher turn over rate. I edit often since I enjoy less repetition at this leg of my style journey but the rules still apply. There is nothing in my wardrobe that sits unworn, I make thoughtful additions when I add something new, I rarely make returns (except to exchange a size), I can comfortably store everything I own, and I’m happy with my wardrobe. But when I checked Amazon I couldn’t tell because the picture of the author didn’t look at all like you Long blonde hair? And you don’t use your surname on here. Today's blog post really resonated with me because I know all too well about the struggles a person can face with shopping. Just like Angie mentioned in today's post, <a rel="nofollow" href="https://youlookfab.com/2025/04/23/i-wasnt-always-a-good-shopper/">Becoming a Better Shopper</a>, is not overnight success. I know for me it wasn't. It was a long journey. I made a lot of mistakes along the way.  I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Angie for your kind words on today's blog post--"You have it all figured out too! So much so, that you wrote it all down. Your cohesive style is a shining example of it. Well done." With the journey I've had, to read a comment like that, to know that I've really nailed it and it's recognizable to someone else, just wow. I am honored and humbled. Angie you have no idea what your kind words and praise mean to me. You're awesome!
