You never know until you try, but in my experience the coolest-looking shoes are often best suited to a low-volume, narrow foot. </p> <p>Many times I've set my heart on a pair of shoes that look great and would make many outfits pop, only to find the fit is off in some way (usually a combination of tight toebox and loose heels). And unlike clothes, you can't really alter shoes to fit...</p> <p>And, like Suz, my other big constraint is climate. I have to be strict about not purchasing too many "fair-weather" shoes, because we don't get much fair weather! You have some amazing choices here. I love the idea of red Adidas. They are fun and fresh, and probably comfortable too! I like the first two Jeffrey Campbell choices also! In my experience spending on shoes is not a mistake as long as you are sure they fit well when you make the purchase. Feet stay fairly constant in size unless you are still going through pregnancies. If they are well made, they can last for many years making the initial investment pay off over time due to their functionality. I would almost go so far as to say they're the most crucial element. &nbsp;Anyone with me on that?<br />Anyway I feel like I could do with upping my shoe game, and I am particularly keen on navy, cream, and a more current alternative for my red ballet flats...&nbsp;<br />I also love pink and blue and have quite a bit of it in my wardrobe atm. &nbsp;Additionally, I just can't seem to adjust my eye to loafers and mules, so they're out.</p> <p>If I could find charcoal grey shoes they would be great but they're not common.&nbsp;<br />Anyway I have compiled a little trendy shoe wish list....
