I've always ended up keeping the comfortable shoes, giving away the uncomfortable ones. The only pair I have not been able to bring myself to give away are the really high strappy ones from Ann Taylor - second from the left, front row. The 3 pairs of shoes (from right, back row) are 2-4 hr shoes that I wear when we go out in the evening to the pub/restaurant. The Nine West pumps (third from the right, third row) are the most uncomfortable. I bought them in a rush the night before an interview.
