I was wearing my skirts too long -- below the knee, and not in a fun fashion-forward midi way! When I got the skirts above the knee, things got a lot better!</p> <p>2. I was wearing dark suits, and wearing the pieces together. Boring, boring, boring. Once I started wearing separates, things got better!</p> <p>3. The Halogen pencil skirt: I bought it in 7 colors and it totally changed my fashion life! Would you believe I had never worn pencil skirts before? And now they are practically my uniform!</p> <p>4. FIT! If it doesn't fit, it won't look fab! Note that the jacket in the first photo above is too big and I was trying to make it work with a belt. It's been a continuing struggle, but I am getting better about resisting the allure of the fab pieces that don't quite fit!</p> <p>5. Color -- I have always loved color but usually did just one color with black. I have really learned from Angie and all of you how much fun it is to have multiple colors in an outfit!
