A portion of mine is still very definitely seasonal because I just can't wear my light summer things in winter (or vice versa) -- but that in itself provides some built in variety -- which is a benefit.&nbsp;</p> <p>When I do my autumn changeover I am sure I will purge a bunch more. I was actually doing the same thing today, but I didn't purge quite as much as you did. I also kept a small pile of things that I am undecided on. I put them out of sight and if I remember and look for them, or later take them out and love them again, I'll put them back in rotation. I'm like you, in that a little more variety helps me to shop less. I sometimes like to cut up and remake some clothes. It is often a disaster and they never see the light of day, but if I wasn't wearing it as it was anyway... It did feel so wonderful to keep only things that I love and fit well. I started with numbers derived from one of Mo's original posts on 'if I wear pants x number of times a week and I am comfortable repeating them every x number of weeks then I need x pairs.' I found that my estimates were too low through tracking what I wear and determined that I actually wore, for example, 18 different pairs of pants. Then I used my new estimate to set a range for each category.
