This was a rental house we'd just moved into. Nothing worked. Son was also a bit high strung. We had to break a window and put the 2-year old inside to go unlock the door.&nbsp;</p> <p>I'm glad it worked out okay for the little guy.</p> <p>This was an older home with floor heaters (Southern California.) We tried taking the door off the hinges, removing the knob and picking the lock. We tried everything we could think of for over an hour. It is a deadbolt, which made things extra complicated. The three year old locked himself inside the bathroom and there was no way to access the lock from the outside (old house). The little guy is fine and luckily there is a spare door in the garage. </p>
