Cute! My mum has about 40 linen hankies in Liberty prints, inherited from her mother. I think they could be part of my mum's signature style!

I keep a cloth hanky in my bag at all times. I have it when I need it or can give it away. Especially useful in situations where someone is teary-eyed.

Fun! We always used cloth handkerchieves when I lived at home, and I've continued doing it all my life (paper tissues for colds, and I also usually have a packet of tissues in each handbag for "on the way").

I totally think they can be a legitimate accessory, and as you are finding out, there are soooo many fun and pretty ones around, so why not start a personal collection. Go for it!-)

I remember having cloth handkerchiefs. They used to come in pretty prints for women; plaid for men.

My dad used hankerchiefs. That was the first thing I learned to iron!

I like it! I remember buying pretty hankies for Mom back in the 60's - I wonder if my sister has them stashed somewhere...

Well, I never thought this was going to happen, but I'm using cloth handkerchiefs and loving them! A friend cleaned out her aged mother's home and gave me new pack of three floral-polka dot cotton hankies. They were really cute, but I'd never used cloth handkerchiefs in my life! I guess of reusing a handkerchief so much just wasn't appealing to me. However, I've always looking for ways to save the earth a little more, so I gave them a try...and I'm hooked! Nothing more snazzy and elegant than pulling out a cute polka dot square to dab your nose with....sure beats a crusty, wadded up Kleenex. I put them in the wash every week or every few days and they're holding up great. If I'm sick with a cold I sure will reach for the disposable tissue box, but for everyday sniffles my hankies are marvelous. Not to mention, the number of unsightly tissues floating around in my purse and hiding in my pockets have been significantly reduced.

So....do you think they are a legitimate accessory? I found these super cute ones on Amazon and am thinking of increasing my collection! (I'm a huge fan of plaids, stripes, and graphic prints, can you tell?)
