(And thanks to Mandipa too for pointing it out!).</p> <p>Natalie, I think Denise is right that maxis are harder to style and not as versatile. It is after all a lot of skirt! I have a few and it is true I don't wear them as much as my other skirts, but I love the long columnar look and the swishy feeling of the fabric around my ankles, plus they are comfy! I know that Angie has a poisoned eye for casual maxis - every time I post a maxi look, Angie will tell me to midi-fy it... I have a lot of skirts so I am OK with my maxis being occasional things, and I really do love the look. So elegant and sweeping. </p> <p>This particular maxi is odd in that it's sort of casual (cotton fabric, printed) and also sort of dressy (since it's so full skirted). I realized today that I actually have a skirt that has a very similar look... of course, mine is designed by my mom and not Christian Dior! after having lost a few pounds, it actually fits me again, but the fact remains that I have no idea where I would wear a full-skirted red maxi skirt. (To confuse matters more, it's actually cotton, too). Anyway, how would you style this and what in the world would you wear it to???</p> <p>Last photo is WIW today... pretty standard combo of tunic, long cardi, straight leg jeans, and moto boots. The tunic has an attached infinity scarf/cowl thingy, which is removable but kind of necessary here as it covers up the neckline, which is a little too low for work.<br /> (Wearing Ringspun tunic, Kenar cardi, Kut jeans, Dolce Vita boots). </p>
