I wonder if the shoes might just be amazing in RED! I've been craving some red shoes...and that look you describe Angie, yes, with red "penny mocks", is that like loafers?...any way, the look sounds very chic for San. Yes, I'd love to see pics of them like you suggest.

Hmmm...I should tell you that I'm pretty biased because I do pretty much hate all loafers. Everyone in my generation tends to call them leprechaun shoes. I once got made fun of cuz my mom bought me a pretty decent looking pair of low heel loafers to wear to school. The most similar thing to a loafer I would consider wearing is ballet flat like shoe with a much lower vamp and a buckle near the toe. Can't decide if there's really something wrong with the first pair or if it's just a generational thing.

I'm reserving judgment until I see the boots worn over skinnies. I’d like to see what the width does at the calf.

Also, penny mocks tend to look nicer on the foot than off. I’m reserving judgment on those too. San is very slim, elegant and sophisticated. A pair of skinnies with penny mocks and fab trench is a GREAT look for a hip 54 year old with a hot bod.

I think it's more helpful to be honest, so I have to say I really, really don't like the first pair of shoes. I think you could do a lot better in the same size range and be just as comfortable. That said, I LOVE the frye boots, but I wonder what they look like on. I've been trying to get over my fear of flat boots, and I might even try those on myself

It was the way the pre sale went that left me cold about my purchases. I wasn't able to try anything on at the time of making choises. That is why I don't feel a connection with these things yet. I just need some time to think about it. Normally when I shop I am trying on things and get a feeling for what I bought.
I took pictures yesterday, but my main photographer/Grand Daughter wasn't here with me, so most were deleted.
I did try the boots with the jeans and I liked them that way. That is a very different look for me. Since the boots are slouchy does that mean they can only be worn over the jeans?
The shoes are definately for pants only because of the high vamp. I'm not sure about them yet. I emailed a picture of them to my daughter and she said the word 'Leprichan" came to mind! Then she changed her tune and said maybe they were good.

Hi San, great choices!

The boots look perfect for tucking the skinnies in, or with casual knee-length skirts, such as denim or corduroy.

The SW loafers are in my opinion for pants only, I think that the vamp is too high for skirts.

I am sure that the bag is great, sounds lovely from your description!

San, I'm not crazy about the shoes because I think a higher vamp would look better, but maybe they look better on? The Frye boots are definitely something I would go for if I didn't already have some riding boots. Tuck some skinnies into them. Go for it! And even though you didn't post the Coach bag I have a guess as to which one it is and I bet it is really great (considering you chose it and it's Coach).

Hi San, love the look of the boots. I would wear them with skirts for a funky look, but I don't know if that's your style. Do you have ideas for what to wear them with? What appealed to you about them? (You sound a little down on your purchases, which I think look great, so I'm trying to find out what excited you when you first saw them and picked them up.)

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/29.....0&P=1
I got these in red which are not on the website anymore.

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/29.....9&P=1
I got the Frye boots in the dark brown. What would you suggest wearing these with? They seem very casual to me and they seem like they will slouch with time.

I also bought a Coach bag in a very different kind of gray blue. I don't see it on the website.

I am not in love with any of these things so your honest opinions will not hurt my feelings.
