1. Please do chime in on the 3-words thread, I would love to see what you picked for yourself. (Romantic is definitely one I would use for you!) There was also a challenge to wear a tee and jeans and then add in anything else you wanted to in order to show us your style.
2. I LOVE the 3-items idea! You should post that, maybe even make it a challenge for the rest of us to try!
3. You'll be in that dress in no time, definitely keep it. And Spanx can take care of anything the diet and exercise can't. :)
4. That LAMB jacket is such a bummer; Laura and I tried it too and it didn't look right on either of us. Angie makes a good point about a lot of people returning it. Gwen was VERY naughty on that one!

You know hearing about the fit issue with the LAMB jacket is reminding me that my LAMB jacket is not comfortable at all. I had the sleeves lengthened, and asked if it could also be relieved somewhat across the back, but was told no. I guess their fit models are built to that fit which is not working very well in real life. I was so blinded by love of the fabric that I was in denial about the fit. I feel very uncomfortable and ill at ease when I wear it.

Thanks Angie. That really helps with the decision making. I'm hoping there will be a "slew" of returned items at our store on Saturday that I can look through.
It is a shame that the jacket hasn't been working for many people. It really had potential. But it makes me feel a bit better that it isn't just me.
I love the dress and am going to shrink into it in no time. I promise. I've been loving grey more and more with my lighter hair color, plus I plan on going even lighter next time (before our fall weather hits for sure). I also love the bright pink MK dress and I hope (even with those pockets) that it will work for me. I can imagine it with stirrup leggings and heels. :)
I'm going to take Ana's challenge further up thread but instead of posting words, I'm going to post three items I have that feel very me. I may even surprise myself with that one. I'm still figuring it all out. I think that I naturally gravitate towards many styles (same with interior design, even though I try to pick styles that fit the home, etc for us) because I like fashion and clothing, but understanding what's me and what I like on others is a challenge.

I know your body is changing Sarah, so my hunch is that the frock will be KILLER by the time it cools down enough to wear it! The colour is beautiful against your skin tone.

The sleeves on the lamb jacket were too short on the smaller size and I had to return immediately (story of my life with these gorilla arms). Greg did not like the jacket on me at all! Very interesting. I guess it’s because I’d just come home with the most stunning cream jacket from Holt Renfrew in Canada and he was comparing it to that. I have to say that in this respect – my sweetie was absolutely spot on.

So far there have been fit issues with this jacket. With my clients too. Lots of returns down town – they suddenly have a whole slew of stock. Once again, naughty Gwen Stefani. She could have had a winner on her hands.

Oh, sorry you missed out on some other items you liked while deciding about these! This NAS has been insane. I ordered a few things over the phone and they show up without packing slips or any receipts. Totally chaotic. Of course Nordstrom is great as ever about returns, even without a packing slip, but I can tell that the employees are frenzied.

Anyway, had to add that both Kristen and I loved that LAMB jacket and couldn't make it fit right, either. You are making the right call on that one.

Thanks Angie. Those were my thoughts about the jacket initially. Even if I went up a size, it would seem to short to me. My husband wondered if maybe it's what I wore with it in the photo, but he also agreed that the jacket wasn't perfect. Too bad, because the print is fabulous. It just helps to hear everyone else's thoughts to solidify mine.
I love the dress, and I do think once I get my body back into my healthy routine, my tummy will go away. It really doesn't feel snug at all. My husband said it looks better in person, and I can always show Ana and Patience too.
I'm sad though because the boots, legwear, and one dress I loved are no longer available. Ah well, you win some, you lose some!

Sarah, I love the other 2 items (you know that because I had them on myself !) I can't help but think that they look a little snug. A wool jacket should not pull at all and that jacket has zero stretch. I guess ponte can be tricky too. Does the frock feel and look too snug to you? Perhaps you should ask Ana and Patience irl about the dress.

For the price of the jacket, it should be perfect, and at this point it’s not quite there. I agree that it looks a little short too. In fact the fit of that jacket has not been stellar at all. Naughty Gwen Stefani.

But it's up to you!

Thank you for your comments! Ana, I'd love to participate in that thread. I definitely think "romantic" is a good word for my style. Even if I pull in menswear or something edgier, there's always a romantic element somewhere in the mix. IE: The Nanette Lepore blouse you picked out for me is a perfect example.
I love the dress. It's so perfect for my lifestyle right now, and I can see wearing it with my snakeskin print heels or boots with pearls or other chunkier necklaces. I love that color on me, too.
The jacket. I love the jacket a lot. When I saw Angie model it in san's photo my heart screamed "that's me!". Some times when I try it on, I like it, but other times (especially in photos) I'm wondering if it might be better on someone with a slimmer, straighter figure. I'm very curvy and it appears to me that the jacket isn't long enough for my frame. I could be way off. Also, I'm wondering with my bust size if the ruffles are the very best. I don't need a lot more things, but I do need a few more things to complete outfits I already have. So I'm very torn.
I'm glad you all like the lace blouse. It really struck me and I only had a few minutes to decide.

I love all three items, especially the jacket. LAMB has such fun designs, so I think you will have a lot of fun with the jacket. The dress is awesome, classic and it fits you really nicely. The top is beautiful too, I love the neckline.

I have to agree with Angie about the last top, what a beauty!! I think everything else looks great but that just popped off the page for me. The jacket is lovely, I am not sure if it is worth the money for you if you are on a tight budget. Would you wear it really often? I think the dress is a no-brainer, you will wear it often and it looks fantastic.

Sarah, I LOVE the brown lace top you got in Seattle! 10/10!

I agree with your assessment of photos--you definitely seem slimmer and taller to me in real life. It's probably the angle of the mirror or something. Stuff like that can be so tricky! Having said that, I love the sheath on you! It's so ladylike. I really want to see it in person though before I make a "final" decision. Same with the jacket. I think the shape is actually really nice on you. It's SO different than something I would imagine you wearing, which is really exciting! While you were gone, Kristen started a thread about listing our current style in 3 words, and then listing our goal style in 3 words. I thought about you when it came up and I thought one word that describes your style is romantic. Even if you're wearing menswear items, it's always very romantic. Here's the link, I'd be interested to see what you post (if you decide to). I did it and it was super helpful in helping me get sorted:

I know LAMB makes a nice quality product. I have a jacket of theirs from last fall. I don't believe I have any pictures of it but Angie has seen it and commented that she like it.
It is very hard to think about warm fall clothing when it is so hot outside. You look gorgeous in that sheath dress. I love it and wish I would have tried that one on when I was at NAS, however I think it is much more striking on a curvy body which is not me.
