You've worked really hard to work out your body type, fit in various makers, style preferences, etc. So reading the reviews nets you good information. It's not just "Oh, oooh, I like that." It's all about doing the legwork in advance. And being willing to take a few "nos" and send them back if need be. You have got this system down! Suz... the NF jacket and crops were from Ottawa.  the Pendleton coat sent by Ann, and the two EF tops and the Halogen sweater were ordered through the US (the EF pieces were both duty-free, I think I may have paid duty on the sweater).  And thank you!! Kerry, good question.  I know who on the forum has a similar body type and style to me, so I pay attention when the NAS reports start coming in.  I also know what types of things I feel more comfortable ordering online, when an exact fit is less critical. I read reviews.  People help with measurements.  That, and a bit of luck :) Angie... I love this.... it's a tiny bit snugger than I would have liked, but I didn't have the luxury of trying several sizes, and it will be fine with a light sweater.  Which I do often wear.  I think a larger size may have been sloppy... hard to say.  And who knows, or cares, this is mine now ) 2.  TNF coat - love this too!  I actually can't believe how well it fits, often coats are too big around the hips if they fit my shoulders, but this one is a dream. 3.  Halogen cashmere sweater. 4.  EF black top 5. Halogen crop flares... still deciding what size to keep, but will definitely be keeping. 6.  EF top... I did style this a few ways, to make sure it will work with some of my bottoms.  This top is such a weird shape.  But I think it works with these bottoms, for starters.
