Thanks for all the kind and helpful words! MsMaven: Yes! I was thinking a skirt for the top too, but right now I don't have one to go with it. I'm keeping an eye out for a nice one on summer clearance though. Suz: The picture behind me is a small piece of fabric art done by an artist friend of mine. I just ADORE it, and that green is one of my favorite colors. Yup, the jacket is Gear, as Angie said. The photo of me holding out my hand shows the thumb hole. When I have it on it doesn't feel "gearish" at all (lol, it's not like any of my gear). pil: The belt is Jessica Simpson. But I'm a huge Fossil fan! I just happened across the belt at the Rack the other day and it filled a hole. Kristin SF: Thanks for the hair complement! I've been trying to get my stylist to give me an "edgier" look but she was hesitant. Finally last time I told her I just turned 50 and if I didn't start having fun with it, when would I? I told her I wanted short on one side, longer on the other, short in back, and left the color up to her. Lyrebirdgully: Thanks for the tips for top pairings! I have a pair of pants that are a perfect burnt orange but I can't wear them until it cools off a bit. Right now I have that top on with my very boring Lee khaki shorts and it looks great as an at-home look. I'm also thinking very faded denim, because the top has light blue in it too. FlorenceFearne: Metallica! Haha! I had a run-in with them years ago (actually, their legal team). Long story, but I was A-OK and it had to do with a product from the UK I was selling that used their same name. The floaty top is great too. You might find it also works well paired with shorts in a softer colour -- warm light grey, a soft burnt orange, very faded khaki/olive, or nude-- as another option to the bright white. Notice how your top echoes the colours in the picture behind you!  That purple is absolutely stunning on you and you look better in the jacket than the model does. Is it a yoga jacket or a regular jacket? I thought it was a sort of "gearish" think from the Nordie's pic, but on you, I think it could be street wear. I wore my favorite T (Target), white ankle pants (NYDJ) rolled up (is that length better?), new belt (Rack), my most favorite sandals (Ecco), and my cheap and cheerful bag (Kohls). It's purple - and I usually don't wear purple - and also comes in grey. There was only a small left in the grey, I bought a large in purple (last one, and someone wanted it if I didn't buy it). It runs quite small, and I wanted room underneath for other clothes. The medium fit, but there was no extra room. After I got home I ordered the grey, will see how that looks and return one of them. Other buys at the store were undies and leggings. I tried on a zillion boots but bought none. Finally, the last photo is what I wore today. It's the top I wasn't sure about, but now I'm very happy I kept it. My dog (a Cardigan Welsh Corgi) was so happy about it he bombed the photo:)
