Sveta what an exciiting, exhausting trip.

Great choices and I'm in awe of your shopping savvy.

How on ever did you make a choice on those oxfords. Both are 10's for different outfits and looks.

Whoo hoo on the jeans, that was fate. Your dedication and determination paid off in the end.

Love your shopping outfit. Comfy enough for the car and to try on many many things, great for shoes and boots but with enough of your style to give you an idea on other items. Well done~

Thanks everybody for reading this "novel"!
Rae, I think this is how I am going to "work" NAS from now on!
Lisa, I liked that picture of his too - and was very glad he found what occupied himself with when I was 0.5 late from the fitting room!
Rita, I usually don't take him shopping with me as I feel guilty when he has to wait for me. However this time I found how to occupy him: he was stuffing all paper back into my boots and shoes which I discarded and putting them back into boxes!:-)
Angie, I accept this new title - now we are a crowned couple. Actually these boots really did not fit right but it is not that visible in the picture. I truly think they are too short for me as they supposed to be OTK - too bad, I liked them!
Jonesy, Polly, Isabella, Anne - thanks!
Suz, I did not know you live in Canada too. I live in SW Ontario, just under 1h from the closest border and under 2.5 h from the closest Nordstrom so I consider myself lucky.

So much fun to peek over your shoulder this way to get a feel for your NAS trip! A pat on the back and a gold star for your hubby for doing this with you. He made a couple of great choices for his NAS purchases.

I like both oxford colors on you, but will make a stab at which you chose ~ could it be the darker color?

As for the jacket, I know you don't have a lot of gray in your wardrobe, so I'm guessing you kept the camel?

Aren't those Paige jeans great? I am a convert as well.

Off to read installment two!

It sounds like you came away with a wonderful collection in spite of it, though.

Lynn, power shopping describes it well - it required a lot of power to get through it!
Sara, this is a difference between a woman and a man: if I was set loose in the Nordies for 2h I would do a lot of damage to the budget - and all he did was finding one sport-coat!
Kari, I think i is not very visible from the picture but these boots were definitely too loos on top. Maybe they supposed to be OTK but came too short on me - I don't know but it just did not look right.
Ornella, I do appreciate all his heroic acts - this is the only way to survive 23 years together!

Sveta, that is fantastic, and even though you did decide that some of the items were not keepers, I think you were very discerning and wise with your purchasing strategy. How fabulous not only to find a killer pair of jeans, but for a very reasonable sale price given the initial retail price!
I personally like the oxfords in the lighter color on you, but both pairs look fab.
I also do like the boots on you - my sister tried these, and I can't remember whether she ended up taking this pair home, or the Steve Maddens that she also tried on. But if your heart isn't set on them, it's better to pass and wait for a pair that really makes your heart sing instead, and save your $$!
Look forward to seeing pictures of your loot later. I'm glad that this ended up being more successful than your initial pre-selecting trip.

I decided to report on my NAS in two parts. Part 1 will be about the trip itself and part 2 will include the pictures of the loot.
My hubby agreed to go with me - which I consider a heroic action on his part: not just shopping with his wife but 2.5h rive one way to shopping with his wife! Out shopping trip took 12 h in total and we were really tired when we got back. In my defence I should say that my hubby also got something yesterday - Calibrate trim fit sportcoat (fits him like a glove) from NAS and Sandro Moscoloni shoes from the Rack - pic #1-2 (this is the sportcoat, not my hubby!).
OK, back to my shopping! It took a while to find my order in the Customer Service. They were able to do it only I after I said I am from Canada - apparently they stored it all in a separate room.
At first SA asked us to bring the car somewhere to pick it up but I told her I want to try everything on and return right away what does not fit. Then she told me she will put everything into bags and bring to me so I can take all this into the dressing room on the 2nd floor. She went inside and then came back asking if I prefer to try shoes on right here in the customer service - and this is why (pic 3-4). These two huge boxes contain my 20 pairs of footwear. There were 4 more but they were delivered last and were waiting for me in the shoe department. This is how she brought them out - pushed them out actually!
It took me 2 hours to have the first go through these 20 pairs to discard the ones which did not fit well or were uncomfortable. I don't know if that Customer Service have seen anything like this before!
pic 5- I am trying on Trouve oxfords in both colors to select which ones I like better. Guess which ones I kept?
pic 6-7 - I am trying on BP Ruston boots. I liked them from the front but not from the back and they were too loose on top.
pic 8 - what I was left with after the first round oh shoe trying: 6 pairs plus all the clothing I have ordered. Here I am heading to the second floor to try all the clothing on and make a last go on the shoe selection.
pic #9 - this is what my hubby did to entertain himself why waiting for me - I thought that was a cool picture!
Clothing was not as high on my list as the footwear but I had few things to try on: - Trouve shrunken blazers in camel and grey plaid. As Angie suggested I have ordered size L and it was too big. Fortunately they had both of them in size M which fitted perfectly. I find this blazer less tight than the Hinge one from the last year and sleeves have more room. I bought one - can you guess which color?
Halogen sweater peplum jacket in magenta - it was nice but I decided to skip. I would prefer the magenta color to be more saturated anyway.
Halogen pencil skirt in magenta - unfortunately I have ordered petite as they were out of my size in regular length. Although they come back in stock later I decided not to order again and let fate to decide if I need another skirt or not. Well fate decided that I do not need it - they did not have it in regular length and petite was too short. As with the jacket I would prefer a more saturated and dark color anyway so I was not really frustrated. Let's see which colors they will have next year!
I also ordered some jeans from NAS: COH AVA straight leg, Paige Skyline straight leg and Rivet and Blues Shannon trouser jeans. I have also ordered Paige Hidden Hills bootcuts for full price to try on. So I tried them all on. Apparently COH bt=rand is not for me: as before these were too low in a rise for me. Sannon trousers were OK but I needed to size up. Then I tried Paige jeans- and I think I found mu premium denim brand. Both their jeans fit really well but one was on sale and another full price. On the other hand I already have CJ straight leg in a similar wash but I do not have any bootcut jeans at all. So I was considering Shannon trousers for $59 and Hidden Hills for $189...tough choice. I really liked the Paige ones but they are 3 times more expensive! In the end i decided to bite the bullet and go with the Paige. I have asked SA if I can return everything on my Visa and then buy them on my Nordstrom card to get points and she said sure. So she returned Paige jeans for $ 189 and then scanned them again for purchase - and they cam through for $69!!! I could not believe my luck but from now on I would never settle for less expensive anything just because of the price! That was a real highlight of my day!
That is pretty much a summary of my trip. I have ordered around $3500 in total and the stuff I kept came to below $700 so it was not that bad!
Thanks for reading this - I am afraid it is a bit long but that was a long day!
