While I do agree it's worth it to fix shoes you love, I'd argue against paying to repair a low quality item. I feel like it might just break again in short order. Better to use that money for something else. However if you can stretch to two pairs I love #1 also. But as mentioned earlier by Di it might be worth having the exisiting ones mended and then you can get the Docs and still have the option of the of wearing the booties you already own. I realise the booties were not expensive but if they look great and you enjoy them it might actually be worth it. My little booties broke - I stepped on a sharp stone and it went right through the sole! That would probably be why they were so cheap... but at least I know I want a pair of ankle boots!
