What you say about the sheerness of the jacket is encouraging. I also have noticed this white jacket is a boxier cut than the others, which keeps it from adhering to the tops underneath. It also has a double layer of fabric just where the large front pockets lie, so from the front it is not as sheer as elsewhere. My latest finds are an olive green (Free People), wheat-colored, and a reddish brown and white patterned jacket (the pattern is reminiscent of Marimekko, at decidedly non-Marimekko prices). My olive one is denim and a bit heavy for our summers, but the other two are very lightweight, and both were cheap as chips. The Tommy jacket in white is a little more opaque than the white Jones NY one and a little "warmer." The pattern see through doesn't bother me - I bought the TB because it fits a little better and looks neater. I wear both - depending on the rest of the outfit. I have a very similar jacket which is like a ticking stripe, probably the same brand a few years old. The white one looks nice and the print showing through doesn’t bother me at all. Perhaps a darker print might, but the blue on white background is fine to me. I do white denim now with my manager permission - summer relaxed dress code.<br />I added one more this spring - the black version in one size up since that was only one available. Black is mostly for work and easy to take care for . </p>
