I saw the fabric peeking out on a rail packed with dresses, and it got my attention.&nbsp; &nbsp;There was no brand or fabric tag, just an XL tag sewn in.&nbsp; &nbsp;It was in the L-XL size section, but it's actually about a size 4-6 US.&nbsp; &nbsp;This onesie is why<u> I always bring a tape measure, disregard the tags, and go through every aisle</u>.&nbsp; &nbsp;I don't work my way through every rail of clothing, I scan and see if anything stands out and really grabs my attention.</p> <p>I bought this outfit for outdoors events, such as concerts, poolside gatherings, etc.&nbsp; &nbsp;But after several days of having to shopvac manky water every 4-6 hours, I wanted something pretty, and pulled it out to swan around the house.&nbsp; &nbsp;(I changed out to shopvac water, then changed back).&nbsp; &nbsp;I wore it to a rehearsal that evening.</p> <p>The spiders are okay, they aren't venemous.&nbsp; &nbsp;They're gangly, kind of Daddy-long-legs.&nbsp; It's just all the legs I find alarming and I can't even put into words why.&nbsp; &nbsp;Just, nope.&nbsp; &nbsp;I figure there must be good eatin' down there in the underbelly of the house, so I leave them be where possible.&nbsp; &nbsp;They seem to have a means of communicating with one another, because the moment the shopvac appears, they all vanish.&nbsp; &nbsp;(I may have sucked up a spider or two, but I felt bad afterward and left the rest alone). </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/my-june-floral-mini-challenge#post-2268074 Mon, 20 Jun 2022 13:22:16 +0000 RobinF 2268074@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>These have an elegant retro look to me that suits you really well. I’ll spare you the details, except to say that the cleanup was filthy, labor-intensive, and chock full o’spiders.</p> <p>It was such an icky experience, I decided to set myself a challenge to wear florals every chance I could.</p> <p>1) I thrifted this crazy floral shorts-with-a-train onesie several months ago, and finally got to wear it, with this 1980s belt. Espadrilles are vintage Stuart Weitzman. The happiness factor was immense, although I wound up swapping the shoes for pointed-toe, low-heel pumps because of a pop-up rainstorm.</p> <p>2). The butterfly belt and SW espadrilles came back out, with some basic Ann Taylor shirts and a vintage Tommy Hilfifer button-down. </p> <p>3-5) I was wearing neutrals, but managed to sneak in my new-to-me floral sandals and an old bag for dinner with friends.</p> <p>6-7) Bonus dress that I wore for a film short Memorial Day Weekend. My mom bought this dress for me years ago. I finally cut the tags and wore it. I really enjoyed it and I plan to wear it into fall layered with sweaters.</p> <p>8-9) Bonus shot of my parents’ adopted Frenchton, Arthur - aka “Bougie Doggins” (because he’s a hobbit, and because what is more Bougie than taking a mutt and rebranding it a ‘designer breed’?). I visited and got to hang with this loveable nugget last week. </p>
