I'm so sorry to hear this. I know how disappointing it is to have a garment not clean well, but I know Nordstrom will take care of you.

If you've followed the manufacturer's instructions (or even gone one better, i.e. air drying instead of dryer), then I always feel it *should* be returned - especially so it gets back to the manufacturer as 'defective'. How else will they know their are problems they won't want to repeat?

Take them back to Nordies, no questions asked. No one will blink an eye or think anything of it.

@ Queen Mum - No, I laid them over my drying rack to air dry.

Oh gosh, yes ! Ann Taylor once took back a pair of pants after I wore them and followed washing instructions and they shrunk. I think that it is reasonable.

Yes, Nordies will accept them. I'm curious, did you dry them? I think that if an item doesn't wash up nicely.. especially when you follow the instructions, that is grounds for returning.

My brand new "almost-skinnies", which I've only worn once and then washed according to the instructions, have stretched out so much that they're now baggy in the bum! The saleslady said that they would stretch half a size, so I was prepared to have a little more...shall we say, breathing room (ahem). But now they just look bad!

My husband says that Nordstrom will take any return, but I feel shy returning something I've worn and washed. I am very dissatisfied, though.

Do any Nordstrom shoppers agree that it is reasonable to take them back? I'd be happy to swap them for a smaller size. As it is, they just don't work for me.
