Some of the stylings look good, others not so much. That's not very versatile. And you're right that the ones that don't look good make your hips look wider and your waist look shorter. I can't wear the flared silhouette&nbsp;very well either. Just this past summer, I returned some shorts to Old Navy because of the flare issue. It's just not flattering; it breaks up the nice vertical line we like to have.</p> <p>It sounds to me like you're really not happy in your heart about these shorts...I feel like you're working very hard to see if you can make yourself like them. In my own life, I have found that that's a sign that I need to take the item back.
