In my teens my hair went from very blonde to dark blonde and since then I have been lightening my hair because I want to. I think I got my most recent frames almost two years ago and I still love them — they’re really subtle and super lightweight titanium ones by Lindberg. I love that they use a hinge design rather than the usual screws to hold the arms and lenses in place — I am forever having to tighten or replace the tiny screws in my other glasses. They are extremely well made a feel like a piece of fine jewelry.<br />4. My very old pair that I just got my correct prescription in.&nbsp; I got these in the early oughts, and while I know the style is a little dated I still like the way these look on me.&nbsp; Plus they are very different from my other two pair.&nbsp; These are rolled titanium and were quite pricey for early-career me at the time.</p> <p>EATA, as I was putting my freshly lensed frames away I realized I have TWO MORE that I didn't include!&nbsp; So here you get to see two more up close of my unmade-up face.&nbsp; ENJOY.</p> <p>I got transition and blue light filtering lenses in all of them, for maximum versatility.&nbsp; Honestly, I typically wear daily contacts, but I've noticed my eyes have been cranky and dry a lot lately, so I've been trying to use good drops and limit my wear hours.&nbsp; It's nice to have pretty frame options that have the right prescription and features that I need. </p> </p> <p>ETA, you can see a little of my gray hair up close here.&nbsp; Ironically, I had cut out ALL the color and had a very short pixie right before the pandemic.&nbsp; I had planned to grow it out a little anyway, and had just gotten a perm to help hide the awkwardness of the length while it grew out.&nbsp; I had the perm redone shortly after salons opened up, but not since (not quite a year now) and the perm is almost gone now.&nbsp; But I did start adding dark semi-permanent foils ("low lights") in my natural color to break up some of the grey - specially that white streak you can't see on my right temple. I'm an advocate of aging gracefully in THEORY, but I'm still in my early 40's and allllll that white was too much for me to take.&nbsp; So ironically, I STARTED coloring my hair during the pandemic!&nbsp; But it's subtle enough that I can do it less often or skip it completely and it won't be too much of a hassle to grow out.</p>
