The shaft has a zipper but it doesn't open really wide at the top. The next size up was still a little tough to get on but once I did there was plenty of room in the toe box. I ordered two sizes so I got the free shipping and then took the pair that didn't fit back to my local store. Easy peasy! I hope you love them as much as I do.
