I am a full-time mom of a teenager, active in a small community theatre group. I have lost some weight (still trying to lose a bit more), and have rediscovered fashion as a way to express myself and feel prettier. I'm trying to find ways to upgrade my "jeans and a tee" look. It's hard here in the summer, but when I know I'm going to be inside all evening (like last night), I get brave enough to layer a bit. During the day, I'd definitely skip the jacket, and possibly replace the scarf with a fun necklace. I couldn't resist the new jeans; I've had the ON boyfriend jeans in a medium blue wash for awhile, and I really like them. So when I saw that the white ones were marked down, I had to get them. The sandals are fabulous! Very soft leather and comfy from the first wearing. I like how they're detailed, but neutral in color. They were on clearance at DSW a couple of weeks ago. (They also have the Hi-ness on clearance; I am so tempted to get another pair!) My style is rather eclectic. I love vintage style, and if I were younger, I'd probably wear a lot of romantic, vintage, lacy styles. I like global influences. I started wearing a lot of skirts and dresses (knee-length and maxi) this year; they feel more girly and romantic, and are comfortable in the heat! I'll have to post some more WIWs, so you can help me figure out my style.
