THanks for all the encouraging feedback! In answer to questions:
Dani, I find they run true to size; I'm a size 9 (or European 40) and this sandal fits me perfectly in size 9.
Shiny, they are not heavy at all. I think it's cause the wedge is this espadrille style, so it's light. Try them out - what's to loose with free shipping and return? :-)
Maya: The upper is satin, but it's definitely heavy and solid, not a light weight flimsy satin.

Antje, how do they run size wise? I can usually take a 9 in a sandal, but I'm pretty much a 9.5 in shoes (they're all out of the 9.5 in turquoise, very sad) so I was going to take a chance on the 9. What's your opinion?

They are lovely and Franco Sarto is one of my fav brands of shoes. (all my boots are Franco Sarto, in fact).

Question: are they heavy? I often find wedges can be too heavy. I love wedges but I hunt far and wide for those that are lighter in weight. If these are light weight, I may have to try them myself.....

Wow Antje very pretty wedges! I hope you end up liking them and wearing them a lot, otherwise I'll feel guilty. Can't wait to see them in outfits.

They are fabulous Antje. Is the upper really all satin? There's no backing? That sounds interesting.

Wonderful! Those Swann flats sounded amazing (and they look super nice; it's so fun seeing them on various women on this forum and they all wear them with such different outfits and combinations, so they never really look the same.) I was very tempted by them as well, but when they first came out they only came in black and as you can see from my other post tonight, I really go for color in my shoes (I wear a lot of black tops, so very often I gotta get the color accents from shoes and accessories.) Great for you for trying flats; I hope you will enjoy them!

Those are so cute. You will love them. Congratulations for breaking out of your box. I would love to have those shoes.
I just got my first pair of ballet flats and I only bought them because they were on sale. I guess I am breaking out of a box also. I put a picture of them on my thread about the Armani Exchange denim. The shoes are the Mee Too Swann flats.

I'm so excited: I let myself be swayed by Tanya's infectous enthusiasm for wedges (and Angie's blog entry on wedge sandals last week sure helped as well) and decided to step out of my box (the ballet flat box, that is) and try them out. I'm now the happy owner of this pair of turquoise wedge sandals: http://www.piperlime.com/brows.....=569652022
They are very comfy as far as I can tell from wearing them for two hours around the house, and I can't wait to break them in for real this weekend! I'm thinking either with my white denim skirt or my black summer dress (sleeveless, v-neck, flowy cotton A-line). Will try and post pictures. Yay, thanks to YFL for making me curious about new looks
