I actually love the slit, not just showing my bra. The shoes are one of my favorites - 4" espadrille wedge shooties with gold zippers! Yahoo! Gracie I hope we see more of this type of dress too! I love that it accents your waist. You could also wear a black camisole and then the split back would barely be noticeable (or a nude one, and then the camisole would barely be noticeable--whichever the situation calls for). I just can’t bring myself to show my bra in public. This year is the first time I have worn a slightly sheer tee without a cami. Also, wore this outfit to church, so the showing of lingerie wouldn’t be acceptable. Hehe Caro so true — everything is thin and transparent these days. I rather like it. But it does mean a lot of camis. Not comfy yet showing off my bra. But thinking it would be fun to find a silk print cami to wear underneath it! Crutcher loveth you! I almost didn’t keep the dress…until I tried it on! My sister was like, “Holy cow!! That dress is perfect on you! You’re keeping it I hope!!” My Malt is making it. She hates the heat, and right now she needs a good haircut. But she’s surviving. Yeah, it seems anything affordable nowadays is utterly transparent. But then that's the style. I think the slit in the back is FOR showing  your bra to tell you the truth, but I really like the camisole idea, as it does both jobs of hiding the bra and preventing the transparency. This midi dress surprised me! I love: The slit-open back Side slits Gathered elastic waist (hidden under belt) The drape The length--it's so surprising! I thought I would hate midi lengths. But I adore it. My only Complaint is it's unlined, so I have to wear a mini slip with it. The other thing is I have to wear a camisole with it or you can see my bra thru the open back. I paired it with espadrille wedges and turquoise snakeskin belt. I also carried a raspberry hot pink clutch (not pictured). Just so thrilled with this dress! It's a bit bohemian, summery, and fun. xo
