I've always thought of her restrained and collected behaviour as exemplary. It's how a monarch should behave (and the other royals would do well to follow her lead. I'm impressed so far with William and Kate, in that they are showing decorum that befits their station). To me her style doesn't say "timeless", it says "I know exactly what time it is now!" Because she also epitomizes, well, solid, dignified, respectable frump. I love her wacky fashion sense, and the hats. Also, I resolve to never to turn against low-heeled court shoes again. </p>
