I bought some leopard print booties with 3.5" heels that I just LOVE! I do have fussy feet, so I can't stand to walk in them for long, but the little bit that I can wear them is worth it. This item is one of the highest "happiness quotient" items in my wardrobe. So I agree that the shoes were a good purchase for you. Sometimes we do have to have something special, even if it doesn't get a lot of wear.&nbsp;</p> <p>I work at home too, and it was a big change for me to start buying clothes that would work in a more casual environment instead of an office environment. You have shown that a person can be stylish but casual at the same time! Of course, there are times when we need to push ourselves a little. MOTG and think you can't wear a dress? Wrong, if it is the right kind of dress, and you casualize it. And so on.&nbsp;</p> <p>At the same time, a realistic assessment of our needs is so important. If I'm a person who runs cold, I'm going to need warm layers. And if I'm Angie and live in Seattle, sleeveless tops simply won't get a lot of wear.&nbsp;If I walk everywhere, lower heels are a must. If I own a white Persian cat, a wardrobe of black velvet is probably a poor idea.&nbsp;And in my case, if I live in a very casual city where "dressing up" means one's nicer jeans... and I work at home, not in an office ...well, the bronze shoes that would get once a week outings in somebody else's closet will go pretty much unworn, in mine. :)&nbsp;</p> <p>I don't know if I did this consciously, but I suppose I feel on some level that it's okay to have one or two "wild card" or just for fun purchases. They might turn out to work more easily than you think, after all. Or they might not, but the happiness factor when you wear them will be so high that it's all worthwhile.
