Like Rae, I think the structured, more tailored tops contradict the ease of the skirt's style. These shirts also end right below the widest part of your hips, so the tops flow into and mix visually with the skirt.</p> <p>A blousy, drapey top would also work IMO. </p> <p>The other thing I think would go are tank tops. A fluid, banded white top could look great, or even a white blouse if the proportions are right. Or of course you can pick up the pink or taupe. No need for tailor.&nbsp;</p> <p>Turn the skirt inside out and lay it flat. Draw the line starting about 1 inch (2.5cm) from the hem and go&nbsp;upwards, maybe even 10 inches (25cm)&nbsp;- or just below&nbsp;where your hips are at the widest point&nbsp;it is important to have a smooth transition between your hem and the original hem on the&nbsp;skirt to avoid puckering on the hips.</p> <p>I think it would help enhance the fit of the bottom of&nbsp;skirt.
