I look and feel much better in cream/ivory, which works better with the warm tones I favour. &nbsp;White footwear was just too stark and high contrast . &nbsp;The only exception to this "rule" is for white sneakers. I will ALWAYS have a few of those in my closet .</p> <p>I got very caught up in trying to find some sort of shoe or boot to wear with cream jeans/chinos/cargos/joggers/sweatpants this fall , and I now think I'm barking up the wrong tree. &nbsp;The design of these Simon boots were so perfect for me, and the quality of the construction (leather lined, padded leather tongue , removable insole etc) really grabbed me. BUT, I think they are ultimately going to be too fussy . I have never owned a pair of white or cream boots that did not become workhorses.</p> <p>Like Jenni and Carla, I am worried that you may not wear these cream boots because:<br /> 1. You have not loved light boots previously;<br /> 2. The suede may be hard to keep clean;<br /> 3. Your window of wear may be short, given that your climate seems to go from summer to snow in the blink of an eye;<br /> 4. It is true that visually chunky white boots make your feet look larger, you would have to embrace that fact.
