Your orange shoes are the best! I have sorta retired my bright orange Victoria Beckham skirts and could really use a way to inject this orange back into my outfits without them. I don’t think, tho, it’s a colour that does me any fabours near my face. I also still secretly want some teal (officially I’ve given up looking)… I like the colours used in the costume design of the Andor series. They’re muted camping gear colour, lol - also not my best colours, but they feel fresh to me…

I love orange and it sounds like it will be fresh and chic with the pieces you already have. I have (weirdly for me) been really drawn to camel lately, and other related shades like cinnamon and brown. And I am always searching for that perfect shade of blue that is sometimes called petrol or admiral blue.

Greyscale, I love pale colors, wish I could wear them. Well, I can’t wear orange next to my face, too. I only plan buy a few pieces like pants, maybe a fabric bag or jewelry. Don’t know if I will succeed but it’s an accent color, so not big deal if I don’t.

The perfect pure orange of California poppies is one of my favorite colors. I don’t wear it as clothing, though, because it’s hard to match with my differently orange hair. And when I deviate from my usual all-black, I prefer pale colors over bright on myself. But I love adding touches of orange around my house and office.

The color capsule I’ve built over the past few years is clear pastels - the palest greens and pinks with no dusty undertones. I’m thrilled that Everlane has a lot of items this season in what they call seafoam but I think is purely pale green. I have an Oxford shirt and a t-shirt, and I ordered ballet flats this week that might go back if they’re too hard to combine with my wardrobe. (Too expensive to keep as just a rare accent.)

https://www.everlane.com/produ.....foam-green

They also had some nice bright orange recently https://www.everlane.com/produ.....t-turmeric

I wear very similar colours to you Irina. I am happiest in black and white. But I do wear all shades of grey. I wear some olive green some blush pink and I have a few orange pieces for summer. I don’t like colour with black so only wear it with white or grey. The only exception to this is I will wear green with black. I enjoy and admire colour in others but it’s not for me.

I’ve been a bit obsessed with orange lately, and magenta. This might be the year I branch out into blue a bit too if I find the right piece(s). I came close last summer but ended up returning the blue pieces I bought.

Like you, I am assessing and reviewing my 2023 colour palette. I enjoy getting some inspirations based on seascapes, I wear a lot of neutrals (blue, cream, taupe, sandy beige) and I do love a pop of salmon pink in the summer and soft blush in the winter.
Paintings are also a fab source to look for palettes that works well for me, as a cool summer type I find the Modigliani, Sorolla and Klimt have a similar palette and it's nice to see how it could work.

I have attached my 2023 inspirations, hope it can help!

Well, I love orange so you’ll get nothing but support from me! It’s not my best color, so I don’t wear much of it, but I love seeing it.

I’ve been attracted to some of those warmer colors like orange, red, coral, and yellow lately, even though they’re not terribly flattering on me. I try to use them mixed in a print with other more flattering colors a or in small amounts. I did get this scarf in NY even though yellow is usually terrible on me. I just arrange it so the blues in the pattern are closer to my face than a large swath of yellow.

I think its because I already have a good amount of colour in my closet with the plums, blues and burgundies that I just needed this neutral to help balance things out.

I noticed recently that between the velour top I got at the market last summer, the cord wrap skirt i bought just before leaving Berlin, and the boiled wool jacket I’ve been looking forward to digging out at my parents house, I suddenly have a lot of purple. It’s berry adjacent, but is decidedly not berry. I’m leaning a little bit towards green these days too, with my new jacket and an old reversible outerwear vest.

I am in love with colour, so the title of this post actually made me happy.
My so basic, no pattern wardrobe is attuned to greyed neutrals also, kind of harmonious background. Orange was a great surprise, as it suits my skin and hair at last. Grey hair for the win!
I am attracted to pink lately, after avoiding it for so long. That pale millennial or blush pink just washes me out, mid tones are good, and that really popular bright pink is gorgeous but not on me.
Orangey pinks seem to be the answer, called bright coral on some sites.
I think the inspo for the color changes is runway shows, for me. It’s blah blah blah and then something lime green or royal purple snags the attention. After a while I do start looking for something to try.
Anti-inspo for me is the colours that womens gear comes in. The fashion stuff is not bad, but I am not doing Barbie-core colours in a long lasting item. Though pink camo still makes me laugh.

Well, although I mostly wear neutrals, white and black, I look and think about adding colors. Maybe those colors are different neutrals but still For me it doesn’t come from predictions of trendy colors in the upcoming year. But more from the needs & wants. Last few years I’ve been adding cream and beige/taupe to my wardrobe and feel pretty happy with it. But recently I decided to experiment more with grey. I already have a bit - a t-shirt, a top, a couple of sweaters and a pair of sneakers. I was careful with grey before as sometimes it matches my hair too closely and I felt blah in it. But maybe this is a year for grey, kind of appreciate the coolness of it.
Also, I’m always on look out for more white items. Been looking for linen pieces for a few years now and want to concentrate on it before the summer.
Uncharacteristically, bright colors pull me in since last fall when I bought some beach things in fuchsia. I even looked for a fuchsia button down shirt, t-shirt or pants. Seeing all things bright pink in abundance in retail resulted in big turn off for me, too over saturated. But so it happens that orange picked me in a form of newly acquired orange flats. Don’t know why but I dream of orange summer pants :)

So, I’m looking to expand my whites, add a few greys and introduce a micro dose of pure orange (literally no more than a couple of things) in a new year.

Do you have any color inspirations or ideas? What are they?
