I had one on last week that lasted a full 7 days before any noticeable chipping. (That's a lot for me.) Essie might be comparable; I have one of those that I haven't worn in a while, but I don't recall being frustrated by it. I definitely prefer Lippmann over Butter. That said, I went in search of another Lippmann polish yesterday and came home with a Chanel to try--even more expensive! But I wanted the particular color, and the sales associate told me (of course) that they last well, because they are more gel-like and don't chip as easily. We'll see!
