Looked like pear to me, too. How about the fit of pants, jeans that are designated curvy cut? I'm not sure what "bunching" would look like but whiskering or diagonal drag lines are a sign of not enough room, too tight, and the lines usually point back to where there needs to be inch(es) added.

I am not really good at this myself, but would say hourglass. You seem proportioned, not really short or long-waisted.

Welcome fellow pear! But do read about overlapping types and fit issues so you don't get too boxed in.
I wear a lot of pants and fit IS hard I also have to watch pulling/ whispering so I often have to size for ease of fit in hip and have the waist taken in.

Yeah -- I was going to say pear at first, too, but in one photo that's how it looked to me, whereas in the other photo it did not. But -- either way, following pretty pear guidelines for the bottom part should be helpful!

Oh, yeah, a 12 1/4" calf girl here, too. Seems we share a few things (hey at least skinny jeans are never too tight on my lower legs!)

EDIT: the rise of the pant could be cause for the bunching/whiskering at the crotch. I've found pants only ranging from 8" to 9" rise work for me.

I was going to say pretty pear with strong shoulder line. At least, in the photos it appears your shoulder line is pretty strong? By that I mean not sloped. Which may be why others are saying hourglass.

My calves also measure 13" so welcome to the narrow calf club!

You might find that what you see with your eye in the mirror vs what you see in pics can be different. It's amazing really. Our minds show us one thing and the camera shows us another.
I'm a fellow high hip, or short waisted, gal. Welcome!

Thanks for the comments so far! Keep them coming. The apple tendencies surprised me. But then I looked again at the photos and I completely see it. That said, I think my waist is more defined in real life than in these photos (I just went and looked in the mirror to confirm). I wonder if the clothing I wore in these so photos is so tight that it was changing my shape? Or my posture. That said, my sisters are apples so it could just be that the weight I've gained recently has changed my figure and I'm in denial. But so far haven't heard a lot of pear and that's what I thought the answer would be. Interesting!!

I am no expert in this area… but your figure looks a lot like mine, which I have determined to be a high hipped hourglass (sometimes referred to as a figure eight) with (perhaps) some apple tendencies. I get that crotch bunching problem too when the rise on my pants or jeans is not exactly right.

Hello!

I'm looking for feedback on my body type as I get started here. Please forgive the creepy blurring of my face. I think I'll feel comfortable showing my face here in real outfits but the blurred face makes me feel better about sharing these photos with skin tight clothes. I can provide my measurements too if that helps.

Some things I understand about myself:

I think I am short waisted (if that's the right term for having long legs and a short torso)

I have skinny calves-- they measure 13.25 inches around.

It's really hard to find pants that fit. One tendency is to get lots of whiskering/bunching problems around the crotch.
