(BTW,the majority of the population are rectangles). When I expressed my surprise and questioned her further, she said I was a "rectangle with a waist". But, you're lucky that you tend towards an inverted triangle, because that means you don't have to worry as much about fitting your hips/butt/thighs into skinny jeans! </p> <p>I would say just be mindful of shoulder decoration that makes your shoulders look larger. I think I'm an inverted triangle. I was told this by an image consultant who measured me and I can also see it. My shoulders are narrower than my hips though only slightly. I have broad shoulders AND my hips are decent also but I am not a big person. I wear a size 10 comfortably in pants but usually a 12 in tops (D cup and for tummy fit).</p> <p>In the photo I am unwell, very tired and wearing no makeup (obviously). </p>
