At this point, the investigation is ongoing and still now word as to the cause of the fire. I hope the fact the insurance companies are having to foot so many hotel bills provides incentive to hurry up and let you back in. This happened to a friend. Although not burnt, her soft furnishings and clothing retained a smoke smell and she had to get rid of much of her stuff. I'd push for your insurance firm to cover any smoke damage, at least the cost of dry cleaning. Luckily, our unit was spared but others were not so lucky. &nbsp;About 15 units had major fire and water damage and at this point no one in the building is allowed back in.</p> <p>We had a chance to grab a few things with escorted access (grabbed the important things like clothes, bikes, and wine bottles;) and are currently staying at a local hotel. &nbsp;It's fun in a way, but living in a hotel may take its toll fast, like where the heck do you do laundry?</p> <p>Still no news as to the cause of the fire and are waiting patiently to get back home. I will keep you posted of any changes in our living arrangement.</p> </p>
