They get paired with statement pieces, but don’t steal the spotlight for themselves. Most of your finds are neutral with a bit of red in there. It is the same for me, I am mostly attracted to neutral outfits with relatively few colors, pretty much just red/rust and small amounts of teal.  That duster is prefect. Bummer it is now sold out or I would have snapped that up. You're absolutely right -- make allowances for our different colour preferences and neckline needs, and different weather, and our list is pretty darned similar!  It's also really beautiful just to see these items laid out this way -- it gives an incredibly accurate snapshot version of your style -- just from seeing those Finds, I'd probably recognize a "Jenn" outfit.  Another thing -- for both of us, our essentials are a huge part of our "signature" style. Style Fan, I duplicate too, especially some handwash-only things that get caught in laundry backups. torontogirl, it is pretty close to those "Parisian" style lists, isn't it? This is only the anchor that holds things like my floral tunics and fur vest and silk kimono in check, though. I will have to remember to include the specific fit and fabrications as I work on my list.  I just recently started wearing a  sweater coat, or coatigan as they say now,  more and am finding I really love them. They work well in our climate (another Coloradan here). You inspired me to find my post from last year. Nothing has changed except that I did end up concentrating on transitional garments...light weight with sleeves. It was always too hot or too cold to get much use out of these things in my old climate. It is interesting to me that you designate long cardigans over other types, but the long ones look fantastic on you. Hooray for putting the work in during years past! So...starting from last year, and updating as necessary. Relaxed, cropped pants and jeans - striking this in favor of Great-fitting blue jeans. I don't need my jeans to be super-trendy, but I need them to fit well in a range of silhouettes. I'm feeling over colored jeans, and black ones feel too hard-edge for my current style. Black, open-neckline tops and sweaters - Yup, still works, but I want to add that I prefer these in fluid fits and soft fabrications. Ivory, open-neckline tops and sweaters - Still works, with the same caveat as above. Striped tops - Still works, but I'm updating to be more specific and say Striped tees with open necklines Black maxi dress (summer only) Solid-colored cotton knee-length dress (summer only) - Combining these into one category of natural-fiber casual black dresses. Still a summer-only essential, and I hope to make these my summer work-at-home uniform. Cardigans - Getting more specific with this, and saying Long cardigans (hip or thigh length) in wardrobe neutrals - My navy cardigan is no longer the essential it used to be, and my long, colored cardigans stand as statements. Chuck Taylors - Yes. Cognac/brown shoes and accessories - Yes, especially a belt, bag, and ankle boots. Simple, casual gold necklaces - Yes, at various lengths, with modern shapes and clean lines.
