I ordered these too so I'm interested in the responses here as I decide whether to keep them. I do have a pair of Munro boots (see Find below) that I've had for 4-5 years. I wear them maybe 3 times a week during fall and winter and they hardly look worn at all. So I have a great opinion of the brand in general, however I'm not sure if the soft leather Robyns will wear as well as the fake suede of the boots I own.

Good Morning jackiec- I think you will be fine width wise, they seem very generous and as you said, the soft leather does have more give.

Njw - how are they for size? TTS? I am always a 7.5, so ordered the 7.5 in regular width. My right foot verges on wide, but not quite. I'm a bit worried about the width. I suppose if the leather seems soft it might have a bit more give. Just curious.

Njw, I don't know the answer to your question, but perhaps you could call your local Nordstrom and ask to speak to someone in the shoe dept. They might be able to tell you if you should expect a shorter lifespan for soft leather.

Nordies has a very generous return policy. I'd try wearing them about the house and see what happens.

Jackie: am having a vision of Fabbers sneaking across the "border" --- dodging authorities with Nordies' packages. I'd do the same for Danier.......

Oh this is so good to know! I thought I was picking them up today, I did a run across the border, but sadly this was the one package that was not there! I am so bummed! I messed up and thought it was going to be there. I likely won't be able to pick mine up for another couple of weeks, unless I can sneak back there tomorrow at some point. I will look out for this but will probably be of no help for a bit. Makes me nervous though...

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I also have this style in suede and its held up well (but like Suz I don't wear them in the sleet/snow). I wouldn't wear the leather ones then either, but its a splurge for me (even with NAS price) and I don't want them to look worn after wearing them a few times. Think I will try walking around in the house a bit and see how they look.

I have the Robyns, but last year's version in suede. So I'm not sure what to say. I love mine for comfort. I don't tend to wear them in truly awful weather because they're suede but I do wear them a lot and they are holding up very well.

NJW, it's a toss-up, isn't it? Hard leather is more durable and less comfortable. Soft leather is more comfortable but tends to wear out faster.

For me, at this stage, soft is more important because my feet are very fussy. But it sounds like for you, durability may be more of a priority? If that's the case, you may want to find a boot with less give in the leather.

Just received my black leather Munro Robyn boots (NAS). Tried them on and they seemed to "wrinkle" (the area between the toes and ankle) just from putting them on.. Very soft leather. I am looking for boots that can last thru a few seasons but now seriously concerned these may not be the pair to do so. Has anyone else noticed anything like this with softer leather footwear? Angie if you happen to be back in the Nordstrom's shoe dept. and look at these, please let me know your thoughts on this topic. THANK YOU.
