I have a slight preference for #1 because I like that angled cut on the vamp. I had a pair of cognac suede mules years ago that enjoyed. I probably won't go for them this time around because I live in sandals in the summer. I like the style of the CKs and they get the top vote in the YLF community. But -- the Spigas are popular among you fashionable ladies as well, 2nd place but not a distant 2nd. As for comfort, there is no comparison.  The Spigas stay on my feet.  The CKs are ok in that department but when I walk the top edge cuts into my instep a bit.  Something that is avoided with the higher shaft of the Spigas. As for practicality, yes I would wear them on the farm.  Not in the dirt, grass or at the barn, but when going next door or at my SO's house.  They are a sandal substitute.  Heck, I could even call them a Crocs substitute, such is the ease of this style of shoe.  They look cute with cropped pants.  I don't think they work with shorts though, so this style is more of a Spring or early Fall shoe for me.  Any more thoughts, please weigh in, I won't make my final decision until late tonight. But I think the Via Spigas also look good so, if comfort is most important, you would not be wrong going with them. I did ditch the ones that wouldn't stay on my feet though because this style can be dangerous. I like all your choices, even the Zara from last year, and would go with the one that is most comfortable and stays on your foot. I'm leaning towards the CK, but I really like the Via Spiga too. I used to love wearing mules back in the day and the new ones are really cool.  I love those Philip Lim ones, but $500 is a tad much for a trendy shoe for me   On your foot, I like the 3rd pic best, but now see they are not working for you. My next pick for you would be the CK ones . Fast-forward to the present and Angie again included mules as a 2016 Spring footwear trend.  (Her 2-part footwear trend report is <a rel="nofollow" href="http://youlookfab.com/2016/02/09/spring-summer-2016-footwear-trends-part-2/">Here</a> and <a rel="nofollow" href="http://youlookfab.com/2016/02/08/spring-summer-2016-footwear-trends-part-1/">Here</a>.)  This year (and 2015 also) there was/is an emphasis on the lower heel variety.   While I love a 1.5" mid heel, I have a fear of flats.  I'm not tall so feel much more confident with a small boost in the heel.  Still, I thought I'd push some style boundaries (and body image hang ups) and give the flat mule a try. I loved the white Pierre Hardy and the black 3.1 Philip Lims Angie included in the Spring 2016 footwear report.  But, not wanting to spend $500+ on a potentially stumpifying flat, I decided to try these lower priced options via Amazon.   I'm pretty sure they are all three from 2015 but I think they look current. Pictures: 1-2.  Calvin Klein Garnett mule.  Adequate quality.  Adequate comfort.  Flattering lower vamp. 3.  Nine West Trey Suede ballet flat.  Adequate quality but I have to exclude these.  They hurt the top of my foot when I stride. 4-5.  Via Spiga Lauryn mule.  Very good quality.  Has a rubber covered leather sole, leather lining, and fit is very good.   6.  For your reference (and amusement?) my first stab at mules.  The Zaras from 2014. So it's between the Calvin Kleins and the Via Spigas.  What do you think?  Do these work?  Or should I hold out for something else?  See Finds -- I do like the Jenni Kaynes.  The Guccis probably aren't my style.  Thanks!
