In linen and whisper weight cotton. </p> <p>I do the same for my sister , but in more depth. She is intellectually disabled so i handle her wardrobe. </p> <p>I go through her seasonal wardrobe with her ... I know she runs really warm ... so I knew she needed more linen this year and not so many lightweight cotton sweaters. And so on. If that is stitched like a traditional men’s shirt and not left unfinished in some fashion, the collar can be removed. However, there is tremendous variation in how women’s shirts are constructed, and you may find the band isn’t stitched in a manner that would permit this, or that there is no band at all. I would not try this removal alteration if there is no band. For shirts with no band, if the collar is stitched rather than fused, the collar can be reshaped. In addition, I would only do alterations on relatively new shirts, where it is possible to match the existing thread.
