Kari thanks. Everything seems to be fine. My wooden bookcase had water running underneath it but hopefully not enough to damage it. It was too heavy for me and my flatmate to move. Our real estate is not too helpful - they said there's nothing that can be done at the time - plumbers need to come back and fix the drains or something?? Doesn't really make sense to me and there's no way of telling if/when that will happen!!!

Not at all Theresa. I was so surprised to see its real leather too. Was $179 but they are having 20% off all clothes at the moment so came down to $140. I went back and tried on both sizes today (I'll post in a separate thread). Also found a denim shirt I liked there too!!

Taylor and Mellls thanks! I'm posting a new thread with 2 sizes to compare....went back and tried them both on today!!

Thanks Angie!! No I didn't get the Esprit dress. My wallet is happy about that though. I didn't love the fabric, didn't like the fact that it had a back tie either. I am hoping I will find other dresses in coming months that I love even more. There are a lot of options out at the moment!!

Love both the moto jacket and the Esprit tunic, Tam! Did you get the Esprit dress too?

Sorry to hear about your flood. Urrrghhhh. Thank goodness you're alright though.

Scary Stuff, glad you are OK

Love the tunic of course. I think the jacket will ease out a bit. If it is a liitle snug, that is ok in my book. If it is tight...may want to size up:)

ooooh Target have real leather moto jackets ???!!??? I have to go to Target on Wednesday.... Don't suppose you mind sharing how much it was? (Although maybe I don't want to know LOL)

I really like that tunic too.

I saw the footage of that storm on the news - just horrible Between all the flooding in SW Qld, your wild storm, and over 2months of rain up here (Central Qld), I'm just in shock at what our weather is doing at the moment...

Hopefully the clean up isn't too bad and you guys stay safe.

Oh no, Tam! I hope that everything in your apartment is okay & that you have a very responsive maintenance team. I had that happen in my college apartment the night before my roommates & I were leaving for our Christmas break. It's not fun. Fortunately our landlords were great & took care of the problem while we were gone.

I LOVE your Esprit tunic. The white cami underneath it makes quite a difference. Well done!

Thanks for all the feedback guys!!

Glad the tunic is still getting the thumbs up. I can't wait to wear it actually. Imagine me wanting to wear white!! :)

I feel a bit silly not trying on the bigger size jacket now, just to compare. The shoulders fit great in this size, the main thing that bugs me in the tightness in the elbows when I bend my arms, but I can definitely live with it and it wouldn't stop me from wearing the jacket. I'll go back today and try on the bigger size just to be sure though. The changerooms were closed on Saturday due to flooding so I was just trying stuff on in the middle of the shop!

After today I am officially on a shopping ban for another month I think!!

So sorry to hear about the flooding and all the rain. The storms have really been horrific this year.

I LOVE the tunic !

I LOVE the jacket too. I think that Stringy is right in that if you don't feel totally comfortable with it, you won't wear it. Generally, things are lined to prevent too much stretching out.....and, the more supple and soft the leather is the more likely it will stretch ( like lamb vs. the heavier , stiffer leather for bombers jackets )

I'm so glad you bought that tunic. It's awesome.

I don't have lot of experience with leather and how much it will stretch but I just ahd to say that you're made for moto jackets. It looks fabulous on you. Of course, you should only keep if it feels fabulous, too. Otherwise it will never get worn.

I'm back. Filled the trolley with yummy things to make up for being forced to go food shoping Right down to business!
#1 I loved the tunic the first time round but it looks even better with the white cami underneath,
#2 The jacket is great. I'd be inclined to try the larger size if you say it's tight in places, like stringy i fear you may pass it over for your purple one if it's not comfy.

Tansie- where in the world are you? Here in the UK we have TK Maxx ( US equivelent of TJ Maxx i think?) both my leather jackets have come from there. My tan one was £50 and my black one £22!! I had the same feeling about pleather after trying real leather x

I like them both - well done on the tunic. I was going to buy a pleather moto jacket this weekend, but I made the mistake of trying on a real leather one . I don't want the pleather one now, but can't justify forking out for the leather one. So I've still got moto jacket envy!!

Oh my, Tam! That's scary... floods really freak me out.
I loved the tunic last week and love it today even more. Good for you that it was also a better deal!

As for the leather stretching out, I might be wrong but in my experience an item of clothing does not stretch that much. I only own one jacket/blazer so, as I said, I might be wrong. Having said that, I love the way yours fit right now! How often do you think you'd wear it closed all the way up?

Oh no! So many people got their houses wrecked by that storm, hope your carpet dries out ok and there's no serious damage.

I love the tunic and the jacket. Real leather is real leather - I bet it eases out a little over time. I'd be most concerned about the elbow room. If you have to wear the jacket undone that's no big deal. But having your arms squished sounds like the kind of thing that will make you choose your purple jacket each time you need a moto.

So yesterday, after we got hailed on and our loungeroom floor leaked (again!) my flatmate and I took refuge at the mall (well the bits of it that weren't shut due to flooding!).

I went back to re-try the Esprit tunic that so many of you liked last week. This time I came prepared, wearing a white bra and cami instead of a black bra. Surprise surprise I liked it alot better! I found scrunching up the sleeves made a big difference too!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/yublocka/4413100434/

Sorry for the blurry picture!

As an extra bonus it was 30% off - woohoo! I felt even more virtuous after I returned the black top I bought last week too.

Then I made the mistake of going into Target. I tried on this moto jacket, thinking it was pleather, but it turns out to be real leather.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/yublocka/4412331903/

You ladies have been giving me moto envy lately so I wanted to join in the fun! I already have a purple leather jacket, but not a black one.

It's snug at the moment - does up, but very tight over the chest, bust and elbows. When I was buying my purple jacket I was warned to buy it small as the leather stretches out a size. Do you think Target leather will do the same thing or should I go back and try a bigger size?

Keep or no? If so I'll waterproof it and wear it out tonight I think :)

Comments and opinions welcomed!

xx tam
