I love that scarf. The whole red thing wasn’t really resonating with me because I’ve never worn true red. A few tomato pieces over the years, and lots of wine/burgundy, but not red. Then yesterday I was in a shop that had a well-styled shelf wall of folded items in dark neutrals with various red/burgundy accents, and I ‘got it’! Your scarf is a great example with the tonal variation in reds, and how it makes older/existing items look current. I bought a red dress a few years ago (in finds) but have struggled to style it. So, I started playing around with ideas, stopped by Nordstrom’s and grabbed this scarf. Still contemplating burgundy tights, too. (But, maybe that’s too much?)</p> <p>In the meantime, I had a quick work trip, so last night, grabbed the scarf, my old and much loved red leather jacket, and a burgundy belt, to head to dinner. Worn over jeans and a simple black top. I loved how it all came together! </p>
