Ever since the second outfit for my HS senior pictures, which was clearly a mistake, I’ve thought of brown as a “sometimes” color, to be worn sparsely and with caution. Maybe that’s changing. Or maybe these outfits went over well because of the degree of care with which I picked each of the items. </p> <p>Irene, you can’t tell how high the pants are, but you are correct that they are skinnies. Shortly after landing in Berlin, I decided I’m over the tunic+skinnies pairing. It’s too chilly for transitional jackets, so I’m back in my red puffer. I’m wearing a sweater that we're trying to rehabilitate. It had something on it. Mom washed that, and any hint of softness, out, so I did a couple cycles with just fabric softener. It feels fine now, but I’m not sure if it’s too stretched out. My son thinks that between standing away from my waist and the hood, it’s in style. Do you agree? </p>
