I like top #1 quite a lot! I'm not feeling the cardigan in #3 belted this way, and agree with Sylvie to let the vertical cascade work for you (I don't think I saw the initial post on it). If it's too boxy can you add a little pinch in the back to give it some shape?

I have a cardigan which is very similar to #3 and I wear it open over a fitted tank and tight-ish jeans.

http://youlookfab.com/upload/i....._image.jpg

Let the vertical cascade work for you. I find belting it troublesome due to the extra volume of the folds, but it is doable with a wide belt.

I still really like all of these on you. I think the hemlines are very flattering. Just my 2 cents.

Laura, I love the shape of these, but layered with other pieces. Think another drapey cardigan (like cardi from pic 3) or with an interesting jacket or blazer. The asymmetrical hems do provide great visual interest and a fun pop of color. I love top one and am very impressed you created it yourself. Bravo!

I love this shape of top and wear it all the time. I feel like ideally it has to be a flowy material, longer overall, and then longer on the sides than the front to be flattering. For me it gives me the look of having some hips to balance my shoulders.

Oh, and on the sriped cardigan, which is really cute by the way! can you pull the fullness more toward the front opening and let the ruffle effect cascade more down the center front instead of spreading out evenly across the whole front? Not sure I am explaining it well...

But if the bulk of fabric was gathered in one area, maybe you would be happier with the total effect.

I think it's a matter of the boxiness, not the trapeze or uneven hem. The red top is slimming because the sides curve along with your shape, and the longer sides extend that visual line. But I agree the blue one is boxier and maybe not the best cut for you. Is it a fabric you can take in on the sides a little? Just curve it in closer to your waist and back out to meet the current hem at the sides?

I agree that #1 is the best. I'm not getting a "pregnant" vibe from that one at all (and I'm an apple too, so I am always self-conscious about looking pregnant!). I think something sort of structured over #1 (jacket? cardigan?) would pull it together nicely.

I think #1 looks great! It skims you to right below the breasts which is the slimmest part of many folks, and I think it's a very flattering cut. #2, meh... too boxy I agree with Marley.

#3 might work without the belt, but with, at least at that height, I don't think it's very flattering. Have you tried unbelted or belted higher up?

Also, I bet #1 would look great with a cropped sweater or jacket.

I really like #1 - I think of all three of them that this is the most flattering color and cut on you. I think that #2 is just too boxy and #3 is too long and too bulky!

Ok I am an apple so take this through a grain of salt. I am not not sold on these tops, I feel like they have the potential to make people look somewhat pregnant. I don't see this on you in any of these, but I would still be careful about this look.

Following up from my previous keep/return thread, I took more pictures because I'm still not convinced if this silhouette is for me.
#1 is a top I sewed - much more 'pointy' at the sides than
#2 - from BR - does this work or is it just "is she pregnant or just ate too much"?
#3 - the stripey drapey cardigan again, with a belt, and my head cut off because I was making the most ridiculous face. This is the kind of outfit I imagined wearing it with, or over jeans and a top.
