Black and cream dress - navy tights - navy shoes ( with cream/white laces?.. or not ). You can add navy color with hair clip or bracelet - mixing colors is so fun right now.

Thanks for the suggestion, TG. I'm still waiting for the right pair of cropped flares to come my way... That sounds like a good look for early spring, when it's not so cold out any more, but we can't toss everything off yet either.

Thea, I'm looking forward to your WIWs. I want to try these with jeans, don't know if I have any that are long enough. I bet wearing them with high rise straight legs and a mildly cropped top would make my legs look long.

slim cat, ohhh, colored laces! I hadn't thought of that. Cool idea! When I got these out, I intended to wear them with a dress cut very much like that one, but then I realized it doesn't have any blue in it. These shoes are navy; do you think they'd work with that black and cream/beige/sparkle dress?

Synne, that's the second time you've nudged me towards cream lately. I'm wearing an all-cream catburgler suit (as SunTiger calls her black underpinnings) right now because of that, and will see how various things look over it when I go out in a bit.

Rachylou, it is sort of a repeat. I'll go try to dig out the other post in a minute. Is it the primness of the hair that makes it work? I need to get in the habit of trying different things with it. But not too much doo-daddery on my head or my feet!

Gigi, good idea to try out the laces and make sure they aren't too distracting before buying. I hadn't thought of that.

Liesbeth, I generally don't wear heels--I always say I have to be able to run in my shoes. In our adventures yesterday, my son and I ran for two different buses, and I didn't break the cookies I was carrying or an ankle. Altogether we walked over two miles, and my back and feet were fine. These are somehow balanced just right for my feet/legs. Glad you like the styling. I can't explain why, but I thought the straight skirt might be better than a swingy one.

ETA, maybe it isn't such a repeat afterall, just a rewearing of the belted sweater (which rarely comes out) How embarrassingly forgetful of me. https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....ly-florida

And here's another almost-but-not-quite, with the T-neck, skirt & tights. https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....t-cheating

I also love heeled oxfords but don't often wear heels anymore so... but I really like your styling here. I'd wear with all lenghts of skirts/dresses and with dressy pants if you wear those. Under full length jeans they probably work too.

I like this look a lot! The outfits are well put together.

These shoes seem pretty versatile. I think they would work with a lot of different silhouettes.

If it were me, I would stick to the same style of shoelace. I would be too worried that a broader pair might be distracting. But if you can find a pair in a local shop and try before you buy, then you would know for sure.

I love these shoes! This is a lovely outfit! You should put it on repeat. Also: your hair pulled back neatly like this, I think it’s essential to the outfit success.

I'm completely biased, since I love heeled Oxfords, but, that said, these are great on you! I really like the belted sweater in #4. I wear heeled Oxfords all the time with skirts (of varying lengths) and black tights, and also with trousers, though depending on the exact style of the vamp of the Oxford and the length of the trousers, this is more or less successful. I had a pair with ribbon laces at one point (I actually think they came with both the thin waxed ones and ribbon ones)- It's a fun change to the look. In my case, there were only 3-4 holes on each side, so it wasn't too hard to change them out on a whim. So, my vote would be to get both kinds of laces.

Great shoes! I wouldn't change the laces unless you want to add colorful ones ( burgundy?..). I was imagining that sleeveless dress that you modeled earlier ( with long sleeved top under) with those fun shoes ( wish I had them ).

ooh, I just bought a similar pair! I plan to wear with a knee length skirt and tights, a long skirt and tights, and jeans. But I havent tried them with anything yet, so its lovely to see your outfits. I like the thin rolled laces, as I think they are more elegant with the shoes.

I was excited when I saw heeled oxfords in Angie’s style forecast, because I love these shoes. But I haven’t worn them in the year+ since we moved. I finally figured out why; the pants I used to wear them with are probably too small and are definitely in a storage locker on the other side of an ocean. So I am trying to find ways to work them into my current wardrobe.

Here they are with a multi-layer outfit. Yes, one of my mini skirts that I typically wear chunkier footwear with. Does this look work? What other lengths and silhouettes should I try?

Also, the laces are a little short. When I get longer ones, should I stick with the same style, or get some like what the woman across the train from me was wearing?

Thanks for looking—looking forward to comments
