I think the reasons are<br />1) unlike you I have been more or less the same size for around 20 years (pregnancies and post partum period excepting). So I am still wearing items from 13-16 years ago (probably helped by the fact that they didn't get worn out by wearing&nbsp;during the baby period!) &nbsp;<br />2) I have clothes handed down to me. If they fit and I might like them, they go into my wardrobe for awhile while I work out if they are suitable additions<br />and going to stay or to move on.<br />3) I am not great at culling. I do it occasionally, but unlike you I'm not ruthless. (Luckily, I have my Ralph Lauren sweater dress sheath for that as well as my David Meister dress, which could play in both fields.)</p> <p>I think I could comfortably go up to where you are, but wouldn't want to go a lot higher than that. To be fair, I tend to wear crisp button ups in our transitional weather, so they are just falling out of season for me. But I never really wear a lot of them.&nbsp;</p> <p>So it looks as if I am wearing about 40 items (minus coats, footwear, scarves and bags) as my normal wardrobe.&nbsp;</p> <p>Which is just a few more than the 33 of the 333 project! &nbsp;</p> <p>As the seasons change, I'd have slightly fewer items in rotation (but my summer is much shorter).&nbsp;</p> <p>This is precisely what I'd estimated a few months ago just by doing rough intuitive calculations.&nbsp;</p> <p>Also, it&nbsp;is "enough" clothes in that I always have something to wear. I don't really run into laundry blockages that often.&nbsp;</p> <p>But it does not feel like "enough" in a couple of other ways.
