My own experience with Kibbe is fairly recent, and based on reading the snippets from his book that I found on the internet and trying to apply them to myself. So really, more of an intuitive approach, as he recommends (although I think not everyone is wired that way). For me it led to some epiphanies... now instead of trying to hide or "soften" my large features, wide shoulders etc, I have learned to embrace them and evolved my "Gentlewoman Style".</p> <p>As far as today's stars being "plastic", I didn't read that as "plastic surgery" but as "malleable". I have only looked briefly at Kibbe- I think these guidelines are awesome for people who like structure or a system to help them work out their closet. I had a stage of following the What Not to wear rules.
