It is so useful to know about the high quality of Nordstrom alterations. A few of you picked up on my hesitancy. I realized that I had fallen into the trap again-that says that I "need", that "everyone should have" a blazer. I think that there is no occasion in my life that the knit jacket or similar will not be enough for. So, even though it is closer than most, back it goes.</p> <p>I'm still undecided about the Barbour jacket. It is definitely better than the other two I ordered, but, I'm not sure that it is "it". I actually haven't had a moment to think about it, so I will do that as I'd like to make my next returns trip tomorrow my last for now. In my climate, I don't need to do more substantial layers under or over it.</p> <p>I used the gunmetal Pilage, so I am keeping it, but I am tempted to also get a black one to replace my worn out black one if it becomes available. I didn't love the gunmetal with my dark black clothing as to me it seems more like faded black than a different color. But get that you might not. But i can definitely recommend talking to tailors at Nordies, I’ve had blazers altered and its amazing what they can do…<br />i love the knit jacket…and it looks fab with the red shirt under it. I may sew down the pockets, as I often need to do.<br /> The length is much longer than on the model, they land at the middle of my ankle bone.</p> <p>The Vince Camuto open front knit jacket is lovely, soft, and I like the pattern. However, it runs big, I ordered my usual size and one down and if there was a smaller size I would order it and wait for it to arrive before deciding. Will probably keep the smaller size but will sleep on it. Definitely order at least one size down.</p> <p>The Vince Camuto Blazer is soft and nice looking. However, as usual for my shape, it is too big in the shoulder and below but fits my waist and hips. Closer than I usually get, but luckily I never have had a job that required a suit or blazer. </p> <p>Le Pilage Expandable Tote-After years of abuse I am replacing my black one with a gunmetal one. I love that I can take off my sweater and stuff it in, along with a book, etc. I love that it weighs nothing, as, see above, I get enough weight from everything I put in it. I wish my phone didn’t fall out of the pocket into the body of the purse, and I also wish it had a place to attach my keys. I also wish that the gunmetal didn’t look as dark, almost black. </p> <p>Barbour jacket-comfortable, a little big, sold out, I might keep an eye out for a smaller size being returned. I am also waiting for 2 more jackets to arrive before I decide. </p>
