Obviously my coworker is a detail-oriented photographer. They're not fishnets, but they are tonally patterned (I frankly forget which ones these are). I always try to wear this type of sock nowadays. Angie's guideline about only wearing textural black was a real lightbulb moment for me a few years back and I've embraced it to the full. I readily confess that I had no clue what to do with it when it was first given to me. My brother even joked that it looked like someone had picked up a length of piping on sale at the hardware store and tried to pawn it off as jewelry. :p But eventually I hit on a styling technique that I found appealing on a tactile level, and I've been fielding complements on it ever since. <br />I take the necklace and twist the whole thing so that it looks like a rope, only leaaving small loops at either end. I then widen&nbsp; the right-hand loop enough so that I can pass the left-hand loop right through the centre of it. Then I pull the two joined loops down all the way to the opposite end of the necklace so that it forms a sort of bulky knot. From there I have room to pop the necklace over my head and just sort of play with the shape of the knot as it lies on my chest. My favourite way is to flatten it out just a little so that it sort of feels like a flower, but some times I'll leave it as a knot but just make it a bit more 3d.<br />If that made no sense at all, I'd be happy to hop on skype or something and show anyone who's interested. <br />Your replyJoy: The shoes are Cole Haan Sabrina smoking slippers. This one focuses on my efforts to embrace the knitwear trend, which surfaced just as I finally got on board with woven silky blouses. :p Finding sweaters is harder than I remembered, doubtless because I'm now much more discerning about fit and potential cling factor. Fortunately I came across this pale purple one, which has a marvellously cozy fabric for chilly Canadian days without being too heavy or bulky. I've matched it here with old workhorse grey jeans and a pair of black pointy-toe slipper flats that I bought too late last year to use that often. They're sparkly, which I thought sounded like a nice injection of novelty and fun into my shoe collection. I&nbsp;added a touch of extra glitz through my necklace. <br />Does this work for you guys?&nbsp; </p>
