I like #1 the best. You could wear a turtleneck under it.

Janet, I didn't try on the one large size that was in store, but it looked sort of slubby, linen-like. However the description is that it is polyester. That is okay for me since it would be cool weather, if it was kind of a pseudo-rustic fabrication. But it is not weighty and thick, which can be a drawback.

Leggings might work for sure. I don't own any! I have not been a tunic-person. In fact the reason why I wish I could try it on for fun without the hassle of ordering is that it might be cut so straight I can't get a good easy fit.

A tall size came back in stock online and I put it in cart, and now it's gone! So a lot of flux going on.

Hmm, I'm liking that plaid one but thinking more like a tunic over skinnies or ponte leggings with boots. What's the fabric like?

I really like the second shirtdress too. I think it would be fab over a pair of leather/faux leather leggings and boots.

Thanks for sharing unfrumped.

I've been eyeing the second one to wear with either tights or leggings. Great colors! Thanks for the review.

I really like that unusual bodice on the anthropologie dress. I wear those types of dresses year round. They work nicely with jackets and sweaters.

I'm not so keen on shirt dresses with the curved hems. I always feel like I forgot my pants, lol. I like the prints though.

Though proportions lead me toward mostly separates, I still like the idea of easy 1-piece dressing and try on dresses from time to time.

Dress 1 from Anthro seemed like it ought to work (though ssshh, I'm not supposed to get any more sleeveless). However, it looked too ? retro? 1950's? on me. But it has LENGTH. And POCKETS. So someone may like.

Then I love the shirttail hem dresses, but shorter lengths/bare knees/bare legs aren't so hot on me with this style, so have wondered about fall/winter versions with tights or leggings.

Dress 2 might work with tights, was short for me without. The color and pattern on rack looked pretty, but turned out not good on me.

Dress 3 is same style, but like the pattern better; saw an online, too-large return in store, but they said would be online only. Not sure I want to order but the plaid is pleasing and it looks more fallish as this would go with black or cognac, tights/boots. Looked for Tall also for extra lenght, but only S size left.

Issues with 2 and 3 for tights may be seasonal confusion except for brief season. Except, I could see #3 with a thin sweater, turtle or no, layered under, or some kind of vest. Maybe #2 also.
