Your expressions make this a super fun post. Sorry you're not having luck, but thanks for testing these particular items out for us. I've not had a belly button gape (and would not want one for sure)

Amy, wait a little while on the blouses. There are many months of blouses in our future and it will take a while to warm up around here, too. No rush :)

Try Madewell and BR for blouses. I think that they might fit better.

You are a true sport, Amy

heh heh...If I didn't have a sense of humor, this could be downright depressing.

MaryK-you might be right. I should try some of that tape. I'm going to put that blouse back on my wishlist in case it goes on sale.

Amy, the expressions on your face are priceless! You're a real trooper to share these. Looks like you'd better keep searching....the perfect blouses are out there...somewhere!

MK, I'm laughing because I was eyeing blouse #3 online, too!
Thanks for test driving it for us, Amy.

Amy, I feel your pain! After reading some of the advice to you yesterday I ordered some fashion tape from Amazon - I'll let you know if it helps.
I end up almost always wearing a camisole under my blouses even if they're on the large side.

I have hard time founding tailored blouses myself so I can understand your frustration. You are right about number three-I think its the least flattering in the bunch which goes to show that retail SA do not always know what they are talking about

Wow... what's with all these gaping garments? I guess no one goes to school for QA these days?

The polka dot one would really have been fun if it had fit and... er... covered correctly. :T

ETA: errr, that would be "posture". Can't even blame the iphone spellcheck for that one.

Do you REALLY have to be able to move your arms??? Aren't we supposed to suffer for fashion???

Seriously, don't give up - your blouse(s) is out there somewhere. In the meantime, keep having fun!

Amy, LOL LOL LOL. Sister in bustiness! I love the second pic, with your eight-year-old expression. And bummer on #3. It's a pattern I really like, but uh, yeah, a bit transparent!

PS: arm movement is overrated. This way you can have everyone do everything for you while you stand by, helpless.

Well, at least you're having fun. The victory of finding the perfect blouse will be that much sweeter if the search takes a while. I feel your frustration, though. It's nearly impossible for me to find a button-down that doesn't gape at the chest.

I'm not having luck, but I am having a good time!

# 1 fits great...if I don't move my arms.

#2 is perhaps one of the prettiest fabrics I've seen in a long time. It's also a gorgeous design; however, my belly button should not be on display.

#3 I'm perplexed as to why two different Nordie's clerks encouraged me to try this on. Granted, I bat for team polka dot, but size up, size down this blouse always gapes, shows off every lump and bump and is transparent.
